Gridlock

Gridlock is an easy-to-learn, grid-based tabletop game where you and your friends work together to defeat enemies in various encounters.

It takes about 15 minutes to learn, and an hour to play one Encounter.

The game takes inspiration from several tabletop game rules I like, and several tactical, grid-based strategy games that I always found daunting. I've tried to create a simple way to learn tactics and teamwork, as well as creating an easy method of designing fun encounters with specific goals and themes.

You can play this game with pen and paper, at the dinner table, with your family. Or with whatever else, wherever else, whoever else you want.

Included in the downloads are several example encounters so you can start playing right away! Also included are helpful instructions if you want to make your battle grid out of paper. You'll notice that there are some strange black boxes in the Gridlock rules packet, they represent space dedicated to art that may be included in the future.
